Boost Your Child's Health and Immunity with Non-Invasive Acupuncture

Is acupuncture appropriate for children?
Yes, acupuncture is a wonderful drug-free medicine for children. It has a long and respected history in China, and is growing in popularity in the West. Many disorders difficult to treat with Western Medicine respond quite well to acupuncture.

Do I have to choose between acupuncture and other healthcare for my child?
No, acupuncture is compatible with other systems of healthcare. I am happy to consult with you and your other healthcare providers. My goal is to help your child reach optimum health.

Will the treatments be painful?
No. In most cases, non-invasive tools are used on children of all ages. These tools lightly rub, tap or roll over the acupuncture points and channels. This procedure does not cause any discomfort.

Are the treatments traumatic to my child?
No, the treatment modalities for children are extremely safe, gentle and effective with few or no side effects.

What happens during the first visit?
The first visit lasts approximately one hour. After establishing the general nature of your child’s condition, a diagnosis is formed, in terms of Chinese Medicine. This is done by observing your child, taking your child’s pulse and asking various questions to determine the main energy imbalance, followed by a treatment.

What happens during return visits?
The appointment begins with a few questions and a brief re-examination to determine the child’s progress, followed by a treatment. Generally follow-up appointments last 15-30 minutes.

How many visits will my child need?
The number of treatments depends on your child’s pattern of illness. In treating simple patterns, two to ten treatments may be adequate. However, if the condition is deeply rooted, more treatments may be required.
